Mitzi

This adorable little mule lady came in needing to put on a few pounds and lose a lot of extra fur! Thank goodness for her willingness to stand for hours to be groomed and thank goodness for volunteers Lou and Cohen for obliging her beauty parlor needs!

Mitzi was an elder Mule that we knew would make this journey sometime but not this soon. She had a number of health issues that had come to light. We tried all options but, in the end, the best choice at her age and with organ failure occurring was to help her across in the summer of 2022. Mitzi was Mike’s bestie from the day she came to the rescue. Quiet, sweet, with fading eyesight, she did her best to trust her humans and love her little family herd. She won over every volunteer on day one and her time with us was way, way too short.
